Sun-Star Electric, Inc. is a Texas corporation established in 1977. It began as an authorized distributor in the United States for Hitachi submersible motors and has since expanded to become Hitachi’s principal distributor and only authorized, warranty, repair and manufacturing facility in the world. In the early 1990’s Sun-Star Electric, Inc. began manufacturing Sun Star motors for special and
standard applications along with the deep-ocean capable Aqua Star motor. In 2011 Sun-Star Electric, Inc. transitioned to an employee
owned company (ESOP).

Submersible Motors
The Sun-Star Type “M” is a statically balanced, oil-filled submersible motor with a
double mechanical seal for superior protection and long service life. The Type “D” Water-Filled Motor is Sun-Star Electric’s next-generation submersible motor built for high-efficiency operation, low maintenance, and long service life.
ROV Motors
The Aqua Star Deep Ocean ROV Motor is engineered by Sun-Star Electric,
Inc. for the most demanding subsea and deep-ocean applications. Designed
for ROV, trenching, drilling, and subsea mining systems, these motors deliver

Boiler Water Circulating Pump Motor Refurbishment
Sun-Star Electric began repairing wet-winding submersible electric motors for the water well industry in 1977. Tooling-up for expansion into the repair of the Power Industry’s wet-winding Boiler Water Circulation Pump Motors was a
simple and logical step.
